Interview with Mike McColgan of Street DogsInterview by: Jo Problems

Buy Kapikachhu no prescription, The Street Dogs' rise to prominence can only be described as meteoric. From that first show, where fans stretched around the block, to the current tour full of sold out cities, punk rock fans have welcomed the band with open arms. This may not seem surprising, considering the band's royal pedigree, 5mg, 50mg, 75mg, 100mg, including former members of The Bruisers, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and The Dropkick Murphys, but the Street Dogs are hardly a re-hashing of former glories. Their songs are gritty, Acheter en ligne Kapikachhu, acheter Kapikachhu bon marché, powerful, and unabashedly real, and their fans are largely theirs alone.

I caught up with Mike McColgan for a quick interview in the midst of the Street Dogs' current US tour in support of their new self-titled album which came out August 31.

So, first question, rx free Kapikachhu, I know you've been on tour with Flatfoot 56 and the other guys for the last couple weeks doing the East coast and Midwest. How's the tour been so far?

Tour's been amazing, buy Kapikachhu no prescription. It blows my mind that we've got a lot of people coming out to see the shows when times are so difficult. Every city's been great though, just a ton of people everywhere. The lineups have just been great, Order Kapikachhu online overnight delivery no prescription, in addition to Flatfoot 56, we've got Devil's Brigade, and back east we had Left Alone. Great bands, and great guys, they're all a lot of fun.

Yeah, I've heard that you've been selling out all over the place.

Yeah, that's true, DC, Boston, 650mg, 800mg, 875mg, 900mg, Chicago. Buy Kapikachhu no prescription, I really thought Cincinnati was going to sell out, but not quite there.

Do you feel like the new material is being received as well in person at the shows as it has been in the press?

Maybe even better than in the press. Everything we play, people are singing along, they really seem to love it. I mean, the press has been good, but the in person response has been amazing, buy Kapikachhu from canada. But by the time we play it, it doesn't feel like new material, you know. With the availability of digital media, legal or otherwise, Buy Kapikachhu no prescription, stuff just gets out there faster than it ever has in the history of music. We're going into shows and kids already know all the words, buy Kapikachhu no prescription. Its unbelievable. We'll come out playing "Rattle & Roll", "Up the Union", and "Punk Rock & Roll", and some of it, its amazing.

Interview with Mike McColgan of Street Dogs

I noticed you guys are back out with Flatfoot 56 from Chicago. How did you pick which bands you were going to tour with this year?

People submit to our show person, Stormy Shepherd, and we just kind of pick. 400mg, 450mg, 500mg, 625mg, We were blown away when we saw Flatfoot and Devil's Brigade on the list.

Has it been hard touring with a Chicago band since the Red Sox were losing to the White Sox when they got eliminated from the post season?

It has been hard, since that's ALL we hear about now from them. Buy Kapikachhu no prescription, It was a tough season though, with so many on the injured list and everything.

True, all things considered, it wasn't a bad season, but there is that sting after nearly 10 years of consistently making it to the post season. Think the Bruins can do it this year?

If they stay healthy!

Well, Kapikachhu in cats, dogs, children, its obviously not sports, but what's been the best thing that's happened to you guys on tour?

Honestly, I think it's just been being out with the Flatfoot and Devil's Brigade. We love the bands and we like the people.

You've recently become a dad. Congratulations there.

Thank you.

Interview with Mike McColgan of Street Dogs

Since you've done both, what's scarier, being a fire fighter, or being a new dad?

Being a new dad, where can i buy Kapikachhu online. Without a doubt. Because to me it's such a heavy responsibility, and there's a lot on the line, buy Kapikachhu no prescription. I think every decision you make is a big one. Me and my wife Tanya, we try to stay on top of everything.

How has being a father changed things for you personally?

It hasn't. I mean, I think I view the world as a much more scarier place than ever before, because you've got someone to protect, and feed, and clothe. It just puts everything in sharper focus, australia, uk, us, usa. Buy Kapikachhu no prescription, Every single category of your life. So, I've always been compassionate about kids, but now that goes to a whole new level when you have one of your own.

So what do you think this means for the band's future?

I think we're going to continue to do what we do. Order Kapikachhu no prescription, Maybe our tour schedule will get streamlined somewhat. I don't think it'll be as aggressive as its been over the last, what, six years now. But we're still going to play, and do what we do, and make music, Kapikachhu samples. I don't forsee that stopping at all.

Great, buy Kapikachhu no prescription. You've never really been ambiguous with the messages in your songs, but what do you think is the most important thing to tell kids today?

Get up off your ass. Pick a side, or become involved in a cause. Don't sign out and be pessimistic about everything. Purchase Kapikachhu online, You can make a difference in the world, and make a difference in your own life. Buy Kapikachhu no prescription, I would never be the person to tell people what to believe, things to do. We espouse causes, and help, do various things, but people can say what they want to say, and do what they want to do, New York. Los Angeles, California, and I think that's what my big thing is. Do something. Sign in to life.

Interview with Mike McColgan of Street Dogs

You guys are definitely well known for the charity work you do for all the military families, Online buy Kapikachhu without a prescription, and the last tour in support for Oxfam, and the Toys for Tots drive in Boston every year. What would you say to someone who wants to get involved, but doesn't know where to start, or maybe even thinks they're not big enough to make a difference?

Well, Oxfam's a great place to start because it helps a lot of people come out of poverty, make their own food, 1000mg, 2000mg, or improve their living conditions and everything. There's a whole host of things people can get involved with, buy Kapikachhu no prescription. With Google at your disposal, and most people have smart phones and laptops and stuff like that, there's so many things you can research and get involved in. Do what you can, Kapikachhu price, you know. Because of responsibilities and time constraints, people can only do so much, but every little bit helps in the big scheme of things.

So, kjøpe Kapikachhu online, bestill Kapikachhu online, going back to music, you've released your last two albums, "State of Grace" and the most recent self-titled album on Hellcat records. Buy Kapikachhu no prescription, Why the move to the bigger label from your own Brass Tacks, when most bands seem to be going the other way. It seems like everyone now is starting their own small label out of their apartments, but you guys are once again going against the grain.

Well, Kapikachhu pharmacy, in my way of thinking, Hellcat isn't a major label. I mean, they do have major distribution, but there's no one in a suit going to come into the studio and tell you what to play, or say, or do, online buying Kapikachhu. There's no stressed out, freaked out person saying "Where's the single?" When you're a Hellcat band you just make the record you want, and you can go on the road and do shows, and do your thing. That's the spirit of independence. We want to reach more people, I don't think we got involved to reach less people, we want to go out there and reach as many people as we can, and do the best we can, buy Kapikachhu no prescription. Buy Kapikachhu online no prescription, We all felt like Hellcat was the best decision for us with all that in mind.

In general, where do you feel like the industry is going, then. Its a really turbulent time with a lot of new media, and a lot of new options for bands, købe Kapikachhu online, αγοράζουν online Kapikachhu. How do you think people are going to make the most of these opportunities?

I think records are going to become promo material, and the live shows are going to be what sustains a band, what makes or breaks a band. Because, on computers, Where can i order Kapikachhu without prescription, you can't duplicate that material or experience you get at a live show. Buy Kapikachhu no prescription, I don't think a computer will ever be able to give you that feeling. Like I said earlier, with content so easily obtainable, bands aren't going to sell records like they used to, those days are over. I think for rock 'n' roll bands, punk bands, buy Kapikachhu without a prescription, heavy metal bands, and I think it'll even affect the genres of rap and R&B eventually like it has the rock genres. Records are going the way of promo material, and I really think live shows are going to be the litmus test of the bands that can make it and the bands that won't. That's how I see the music business going, Buy no prescription Kapikachhu online, and the road I see ahead for most bands. Of course I could be wrong, but that's what I see, based on what's happening now.

That's a really optimistic perspective, buy Kapikachhu no prescription. I think a lot of people focus too much of the revenue loss from record sales, and forget or ignore about people coming out to shows and interacting with each other, so it's really good to hear a more upbeat outlook. Are there any bands you've seen recently that have made a big impression on you or that you're listening to now?

There's a band in Boston right now called Wicked Whiskey that are really really good. They're like a rockabilly band. We actually just put them on one of our Wreck The Halls shows in Boston this winter, San Diego, California. Dallas, Texas. San Antonio, Texas. Buy Kapikachhu no prescription, There's a band from Portland, Oregon called Larry and His Flask, that are phenomenal. I've been checking them out lately, they're sort of acid punk, like punk-ish/ folk-ish. I even like that band Mumford and Sons, I've been listening to them a lot. Buy cheap Kapikachhu no rx, So that's some of the newer stuff I've had my ears on. I genuinely do like Flatfoot 56 and Devil's Brigade. As well as being out on the road with them, I like their music, buy Kapikachhu no prescription. Sometimes you might go out on the road with bands that you might not *love* their music, but with Flatfoot and Devil's Brigade, I love their music, so I actually listen to it, and hear it when they play live, Boston, Massachusetts. Charlotte, Carolina. So I'm kind of in an ideal situation as far as being out on the road because I genuinely like the shows.

Interview with Mike McColgan of Street Dogs

Indeed, living the dream. What's next for the Street Dogs?

What's next for us. Where can i find Kapikachhu online, Well, when we get done with this current American tour, I know in December we tour the East coast for the 6th annual Wreck the Halls tour. Buy Kapikachhu no prescription, In January or February we're going to tour Europe, and then in March we're going to do the Crooked Drunken Sons tour again, and that's going to take us back into Southern California and Los Angeles, Orange County, stuff like that. So not only will we be playing October 8 in Costa Mesa, and October 9 at the El Rey in Los Angeles, but we'll come back in March and play those areas again, so we'll be back in a relatively short amount of time.

The Crooked Drunken Sons tour has been pretty popular. How did that all get started?

We had a tour with the Swingin' Utters and Flatfoot. And I just thought with the Utters, and Flatfoot, and us just fooling around on the bus, why don't we call it the Crooked Drunken Sons tour. You know, just as a laugh, talking with the guys in the Utters and our band, and everybody just loved it.I wasn't trying to brand a tour, or anything consciously or unconsciously. I just blurted it out, and people kind of hopped on it, and now its a tour by name, buy Kapikachhu no prescription. What we like to do is really try to find the bands that we love. The Swingin' Utters are one of my favourite groups of all time, and that tour I was pinching myself every other second. When we go back out next year I know we want to have a really strong line up to present to people, to make it worth their while to take time out of their lives or money out of their pockets to come see us. Because its fucking tough out there. Buy Kapikachhu no prescription, I don't care if you're a college student, or you're in your younger 20's working. Wherever you're at, its tough, so when people come out to see us, it blows my mind, considering everything that's going on, that has been going on for quite some time.

Well, we'll certainly all be looking forward to that. Thanks very much for your time.

No problem.

So there you have it. You won't want to miss these upcoming shows on the final leg of this current American tour. Get off your ass, get involved, root for the Bruins, and maybe give Wicked Whiskey a listen.
